Dozens of prisoners in Lietnhom, South Sudan – many unaware of their charges – finally saw a courtroom after years of waiting. A two-week legal review of 77 prisoners’ cases, organized by the UN peacekeeping mission UNMISS and the Sudanese Kuajok High Court, brought newfound hope to detainees. In just two days, 41 out of 77 reviewed cases led to immediate releases. Photo: UNMISS/Isaac Billy.
