On the 22nd November 2017, the British contingent of UNFICYP’s Sector 2 military component undertook a charity event at Ledra Palace Hotel in order to raise money for the Imagine inter-communal schools programme. They rowed, ran and cycled the distance from Ledra Palace Hotel to their permanent home in Leuchars, Scotland, a distance of 2238 miles. Aiming to complete this in 24 hours, they succeeded in an impressive 14hrs and 8mins, raising over €400 for the charity, which was presented to Imagine representatives on Friday 15 December 2017.
