The Secretary-General condemns the violent incidents that took place over the past two days in and around the Palais du Peuple in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He calls upon all political actors to resolve their differences peacefully, through dialogue, in accordance with the Constitution and in the interest of the Congolese people.
The Secretary-General reaffirms that the United Nations will continue to support the Congolese Government and people in their efforts to build stable and functioning institutions to address the security, health and socio-economic challenges the country is facing.

Déclaration attribuable au Porte-parole du Secrétaire général - sur la République démocratique du Congo
Le Secrétaire général condamne les incidents violents qui ont eu lieu ces deux derniers jours au Palais du Peuple et dans les environs, à Kinshasa, en République démocratique du Congo. Il appelle tous les acteurs politiques à résoudre leurs différents pacifiquement, à travers le dialogue, conformément à la Constitution et dans l’intérêt du peuple congolais.
Le Secrétaire général réaffirme que les Nations Unies continueront à soutenir le Gouvernement et le peuple congolais dans leurs efforts visant à construire des institutions stables et fonctionnelles pour relever les défis sécuritaires, sanitaires et socio-économiques.
