The Secretary-General is shocked and outraged by reports that at least 134 civilians, including women and children, have been killed and at least 55 have been injured following an attack this morning on Ogossagou Peulh village, Mopti region, in central Mali.
The Secretary-General condemns this act and calls on the Malian authorities to swiftly investigate it and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Secretary-General expresses his condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of Mali, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
In support to the Government of Mali, MINUSMA provided air support to deter further attacks and assisted with the evacuation of the injured.
The Secretary-General calls on the Malian authorities to redouble their efforts to bring back peace and stability to central Mali.

Déclaration attribuable au porte-parole du Secrétaire général sur le Mali
Le Secrétaire général est choqué et outré par des informations selon lesquelles au moins 134 civils, y compris des femmes et des enfants, auraient été tués et au moins 55 d'autres blessés suite à une attaque dirigée ce matin contre le village d'Ogossagou Peulh, dans la région de Mopti, dans le centre du Mali.
Le Secrétaire général condamne fermement cet acte odieux et appelle les autorités maliennes à enquêter rapidement sur cette tragédie et à traduire ses auteurs en justice
Le Secrétaire général présente ses sincères condoléances aux familles des victimes, au peuple et au gouvernement du Mali, et souhaite un prompt rétablissement aux blessés.
En soutien au Gouvernement malien, la MINUSMA a fourni un appui aérien afin de prévenir toute nouvelle attaque et a aide à l’évacuation des blessés.
Le Secrétaire général exhorte les autorités maliennes à redoubler d'efforts pour rétablir la paix et la stabilité dans le centre du Mali.
