On Thursday 9 September, the Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of UNMIK, Mr. Zahir Tanin, met with the President of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Judge Ekaterina Trendafilova, and the Registrar of the Specialist Chambers, Dr. Fidelma Donlon, at UNMIK Headquarters. The SRSG was joined by the Deputy SRSG, Ms. Barrie Freeman.
Judge Trendafilova and Dr. Donlon briefed SRSG Tanin about the Specialist Chambers’ functioning and ongoing work, with SRSG Tanin reiterating UNMIK’s strong support to the strengthening of the rule of law in Kosovo.
Their meeting was part of Judge Trendafilova and Dr. Donlon’s ongoing visit to Kosovo.
