The United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, visited the buffer zone this morning as part of his familiarization with the area.
He was accompanied by the Mission's Force Commander, Major General Ingrid Gjerde, UNPOL' Senior Police Advisor, Assistant Police Commissioner Satu Koivu, Senior Advisor, Aderemi Adekoya and the Chief of Civil Affairs Section, Faylene Woolley.
Mr. Stewart also had a chance to visit Wolseley Barracks and meet some of our peacekeepers in sector two, which is under the responsibility of the British Contingent.
