The Secretary-General strongly condemns today’s attack against a logistic convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) travelling from Tessalit to Aguelhok in Kidal region. The attack killed three and injured two peacekeepers from Chad.
The Secretary-General conveys his sincere condolences to the Government of Chad as well as his profound sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims. He wishes a swift recovery to the wounded.

New York – The UN Migration Agency Director General William Lacy Swing and the Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix signed a Memorandum of Understanding this past weekend (23/09).
The Secretary-General condemns the killing of two peacekeepers of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) on 25 July in Bangassou. This incident brings to nine the number of peacekeepers killed in service in Bangassou since the beginning of the year.
