MINUJUSTH takes stock of the progress made by Haiti during the first 18 months of its mandate [1]
The United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) will close on 15 October 2019, marking the transition towards a United Nations’ presence in the country without a peacekeeping operation. The Security Council has authorized a final six-month extension, as scheduled, to complete a mandate focused on three pillars: Rule of Law [2], Human Rights [3] and Police [3]. On this occasion, the mission takes stock of the progress made by Haiti during the last 18 months under the umbrella of its partnership with MINUJUSTH.
