- The Security Council calls upon the Syrian Government to implement urgently and visibly its commitments under the Joint Special Envoy's six point plan and to cease troop movements and the use of heavy weapons in population centres by 10 April 2012. The Council request the Secretary-General to provide proposals for a UN supervision mechanism in Syria to monitor a cessation of armed violence (S/PRST/2012/10)
of 5 April 2012. - The Security Council gives its full support to the efforts of the UN-League of Arab States Joint Special Envoy to end violence in Syria and facilitate a Syrian-led political transition (S/PRST/2012/6) of 21 March 2012.
