2012

The Council decides to extend the mandate of UNMIT at the current levels until 31 December 2012 and endorses its phased drawdown in accordance with the Government's wishes,conditions on the ground and following the successful completion of the 2012 electoral process[S/RES/2037] of 23 February 2012

2011

The Council decides to extend the mandate of UNMIT for one year, until 26 February 2012, at current authorized levels; and requests the Mission to support the preparation of parliamentary and presidential elections in Timor-Leste planned for 2012 [S/RES/1969(2011)] of 24 February 2011

2010

The Council decides to extend the mandate of UNMIT until 26 February 2011 at the current authorized levels, and endorses the Secretary-General’s intention to reconfigure the UNMIT police component, including its drawdown [S/RES/1912 (2010)] of 26 February 2010

2009

The Council recognizes the important role that UNMIT continues to play in promoting peace, stability and development in the country, and extends the Mission’s mandate for a further 12 months, until 26 February 2010, at its authorized levels of 26 February 2009

2008

The Council extends the mandate of UNMIT until 26 February 2009 and condemns in the “strongest possible terms” the attacks on the President and Prime Minister of Timor-Leste on 11 February as an attack on the legitimate institutions of the country of 25 February 2008

2007

The Council extends the mandate of UNMIT until 26 February 2008 of 22 February 2007
