UNASOG was established by Security Council resolution 915 (1994) of 4 May 1994 with the mandate to monitor the withdrawal of the Libyan administration and forces from the Aouzou Strip and to establish that the withdrawal had been actually effected in accordance with article 1 of the agreement signed, on 4 April 1994, by the Governments of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and Chad concerning the practical modalities for the implementation of the Judgement of the International Court of Justice.   Prepared for the Internet by the Information Technology Section/ Department of Public Information (DPI).
