- The General Assembly condemns all violence and calls upon all parties in Syria, including armed groups, to stop all violence or reprisals immediately, as well as requests the Secretary-General to appoint a Special Envoy to support the efforts of the Leagues of Arab States to promote a peaceful solution to the conflict (A/RES/66/253),
