Today, Zahir Tanin, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, met Major General Franco Federici, the new Commander of KFOR, at UNMIK Headquarters.
SRSG Tanin underscored the importance of continued close working relations and cooperation between UNMIK and KFOR to support the implementation of both organisations’ shared goals of peace, security and stability in Kosovo.
Major General Federici and SRSG Tanin exchanged views on recent political developments and the security situation in Kosovo, and agreed to maintain regular communication and ensure close coordination of efforts.
