Since signing a framework agreement with the United Nations in 2015, Colombia’s Armed Forces have deployed over 20 military observers in different missions, including MINURSO.
On the Independence Day, Colombia pays tribute to its multicultural heritage recognizing the contribution of the Afro-descendant and indigenous population and the role that women have played in the country’s history.
